10 Must-See Contact Pages You Can Use to Spark Your Own Ideas
There are certain pages all blogs should have.
Pages that allow your visitors to perform critical actions that could mean the difference between building your community, growing your list, or even making a friend. Awww, that’s sweet.
But, if you neglect to put it out there, your visitors will probably bounce.
If you worked so hard to get that traffic to show up at your blog, you definitely don’t want to lose touch with your newfound potential friend.
So, let’s talk about one such page.
A page so important, you need to stop what you are doing and make sure you have it included as part of your blog.
I’m talking about the blog Contact page.
In this post I’m going to let you know about the power of the contact page and then I’m going to show you 10 contact pages that are visually stunning, engaging, and downright badass.
Designs that I hope will spur your creativity and have you well on your way to developing a killer blog contact page.
The Blog Contact Page
Ahhh, yes. The good ol’ (typically boring) blog Contact page.
A lot of bloggers have it and some actually care what they put there. Others punt and simply put their email on a blank white page. Nice.
But let’s back up and get to the root of it first.
If you are one of those bloggers who have no idea what I’m talking about, you need to pay attention now!
The Contact page is probably one of the most important pages your blog should have.
It allows any visitor to immediately reach out to you and…wait for it….contact you!
Brilliant right?
And as a participant in the online world, and being the awesome digital citizen you are, you want this!
No, no…forget that, you NEED this bad boy on your blog.
Oh, and if you want to someday make money with your blog, you best be putting it up from the beginning.
The Importance of the Blog Contact Page
Now, you may be saying, “But Jeff, why would I even need a blog Contact page?”
So glad you asked.
Let’s just say Joe Internet Surfer comes across your badass blog.
He may not even know it’s fully badass yet but it has piqued his interest enough.
He takes a look at the article he landed on, maybe dances around your menu, and thinks to himself, “damn it, this blog is exactly what I’ve been searching for. It makes me whole and gives me the tingles. In fact, let me reach out to this guy and see if we can work together!”
He immediately looks to the top of your website to see if there is a Contact page.
Nada.
He clicks around a bit and explores some of the submenus on your site but still the same result.
Zilch….Zero….Zippo.
Joe then bounces right off your page (probably never to be seen again).
Don’t let Joe leave like this.
Instead, give Joe an outlet to reach out to you to make a real connection. A line directly into your inbox.
Allowing your visitor to easily find a way to contact you immediately boosts your ability to grow a real audience and establish relationships with your readers.
And, for them, it will show you are accessible and that you care. And you do care, right? RIGHT?!
How to Boost Your Blog Contact Page to Holy Sh*t Levels
Ok, this is Top Shelf Blogging and I want you to go above and beyond the typical.
Be better than your blogging brethren.
You see, the Contact page is usually neglected and thrown together to basically check a box.
“I need a contact page? Cool, I’ll just throw my email address in plaintext on this page. Done!”
No, no…..no.
Take it to another level and make your contact page reward your visitor for making the move to connect.
Make your contact page a damn experience!
10 of the Best Blog Contact Pages
(disclaimer here – my contact page sucks. I realize that and I’m sorry. I will be updating it by taking my own advice in this post)
Let’s take a look at some amazing contact pages to hopefully boost your creative juices and get your mind thinking how you can be different.
1. Hello Monday
Here you can see a nice example of a contact page that has been artistically designed to add some flair to the visitor experience.
It’s a pretty straightforward design and not overly done, but that’s exactly what makes it work.
They open with who they are and what value they provide. They then follow that up with their email address, which by the way is a cool address for visitors to use. (hello@hellomonday.com)
This is a simple design that would not be too difficult for you to implement, even with some of your standard run of the mill themes.
2. Leg Work Studio
Keeping with the minimal design, yet powerful imagery, check out this gem.
Again, the website uses cool graphics with bold powerful colors.
These graphics pull the visitor into the page and lead them to actually engage with the page.
If you like this graphic, you should check out their main page animation….interesting.
Now, let’s amp up the design a bit.
3. Urban Influence
Here is another elegant design that is presented well and evokes a sense of style and class.
The design matches the overall look and feel of the entire website and talks to the visitor in a relaxing manner.
There are multiple options for the visitor to take when they land on this blog contact page.
Nice of them to give us options!
Again, this is one you can look at designing even with simple themes available on the market.
4. Cafe Evoke
Now we are starting to really up the custom graphics and design game. Bravo!
First off, the colors. Whew! Beautiful.
Then, all of the design elements and custom fonts really provide an experience for the visitor.
This a contact form you want to fill out.
Again, most of these forms capture the same data (name, email address, etc) but it’s how you present it that separates you from the rest.
5. ProductionLocations.com
This is another example of doing design different than othe websites.
Not an extremely complicated design approach, but it does stand out from other websites, and that’s what you ultimately want.
Again, this website uses clean design…and different design.
How often do you see a contact page presented like this? Not often.
Another cool angle they put on the blog contact page is by having each functional area called out individually.
If you want to contact the Tech team, there is a unique link. If you want to ask a general question, there is a unique link for that too.
If you have multiple reasons why someone might contact you, maybe look into a presentation like this.
6. Dinng
This is one of my favorite contact pages.
First, I’m a huge fan of minimal design and simple, yet strong, elements.
Second, they introduce typically boring data fields with humor. Yes, humor is always appreciated.
Check it out.
I love this.
If you are a fan of the Fresh Prince, you not only get this, but you love it.
7. Fantasy.co
Let’s get into moving parts and pieces shall we?
Some contact pages hit Top Shelf status with animation.
This page from Fantasy.co has simple animation, yet effective.
While you can’t see it in this screenshot, the clocks are actually moving when you visit the page.
This is a cool way of showing that your company is a global powerhouse…or just a cool animation.
8. Purple Rock Scissors
You can also do video behind your contact page.
The folks over at Purple Rock Scissors (which is a damn cool name by the way) have a nice relaxing video playing behind their contact page.
Again, you won’t see it here as this is a simple screenshot (remember, I’m a simple kinda guy).
In the video, the clouds are moving in fast speed and shadows dance across the environment.
This adds some nice flair to the page and dresses it up like most bloggers won’t. Again, going above and beyond…going Top Shelf baby!
9. Red Badge
This website delivers a sweet (and interesting) video behind their contact page but the interesting thing here is the contact page is not a page at all.
It’s actually down the main page.
So, if you land on their homepage and scroll all the way down, you’ll come across a visually appealing and engaging contact section.
10. Quick Sprout
Ok, I saved the best for last.
This bad boy is epic on so many levels.
Not only does Neil Patel tell you why he probably won’t reply but he does so in a killer infographic.
I’ve decided to include it in its entirety because it’s just that damn good.
Prepare to get your scroll game on.
How ridiculously awesome is that? Seriously!
Ok, he wins the blog contact page award, hands down. Well done sir, well done.
Your Turn
Use the above examples to start thinking of ways you can rock your own blog contact page.
Try to be different and think outside the box.
Give your reader something to look forward to when they land on your contact page.
If you want to convert that casual reader to a collaborative friend, make that contact page shine.
Now, I gotta go because my own contact page needs serious upgrades.
